My updates

I had neglected my blog for more than 1 month insteads of 1 week. During this month, there are quite a number of changes on me. Firstly, I had gone through my own convocation in USM. Ya, finally I put on my robe and took my certificate on the stage(actually it was just a letter, the real certificate will only get after we returned our robe). Indirectly, this indicates the end of my university life. (except I am going to further studies to master). About the convocation photos I'll post up another blog later after i got the photos. (My brothers are my photographer, He he..)

Secondly, I am officially step into the other stage of my life, that is the working life. Some of my friends might not know that I actually got an job offer. Currently, I work in Seberang Flour Mill Sdn. Bhd. which is a member of Soon Soon Group of companies and I work as a Quality Assurance Executive. I have just started my work for a few days, so i do not have much comments about the job. Meanwhile, I am quite blur about my responsibilities at the moment and I can't even really understand the issues brought up while I was attending the meeting, this may be due to I'm still new in the company, I am not really understand how everything works. Luckily, I have a very good senior brief and guide me all the while. Thanks Felina. Hopefully I am able to learn all the things fast and cope with the job. I would like to take this oppotunity to thank those friends who sent me a wishing sms during my first working day. It's really touching, I do not expect that some of you remember the day that I started my work

Thirdly, I have moved to Chain Ferry Road which is located in Butterworth. I work in Prai so it will be more convenient if I stay somewhere around there. My company is just 10 minutes of driving distance from my home. So, any friend who stay here can call me out anytime (of course when I'm free) for yum cha or dinner and those who would like to come and find me, of course I'll welcome all of you.

Basically, those are the updates of my news. :) I will put up more blogs later.

Bon Odori in Cameron

Last week, I went to cameron with my family. Although Cameron is just 1 hour driving distance from Ipoh, but this was the second time for me in Cameron.

Cameron is just same as usual, nice scenery with lots of tea farm. But i noticed there was difference from 1 year ago (I went to Cameron for the first time one year ago). The temperature in Cameron increases a lot, we were no longer felt the cool breeze blowing in the afternoon. I am still remembered that I was wearing jacket even in the afternoon during my first trip in Cameron. The temperature changes so much just in one year time? I guess it is the effect of global warming?Sad sad. Friends, please start taking care our environment.
One of our main purposes for the Cameron trip were joining the Bon Dance Festival, or more people will familiar with the name of Bon Odori. Bon Odori is a traditional festival for Japanese as a reminder of the gratefulness one should feel toward one's ancestors. In another words, Bon odori is the ghost festival for Japanese. This festival is held in Penang anually, but now only i noticed that it is held in Cameron too! Wow, so many Japanese in Malaysia.

The Bon odori in Cameron was quite different from Penang. Firstly, it was held in a small compound, you could seen the entire function no matter which corner you stood.

As usual, Japanese food was selling by Japanese.

And also the Japanese Hand Kraft.

The performances here were quite different from the Bon odori in Penang. In penang, all the performances were related to the Japanese culture, mostly will be Japanese Dance. But, in Cameron, there were a lot of different performances from different cultures like the lion dance performace.

And even Malay dance performance.

Of course, Japanese culture was still the main character in this festival.

And everyone was dancing together and had their fun there.

Sometimes, 'ghost' did appeared to join the festival too....
That was roughly about the Bon Odori in Cameron. There will be another Bon Odori held in Penang in this coming Saturday, I might be going too. If I do, i'll post a related blog up here so that you all can compare the differences of Bon Odori in different places.

Pulau Kapas

After completed my two months course, all of us decided to go for a trip - Pulau Kapas. Some of you might not heard about it, actually it is a island near Terrenganu. Of course, it is not well developed like Pulau Redang or Pulau Perhentian. But, the whole trip was quite cheap.

The scenery there is very nice, the sea water is very clear. My friend told me it is just comparable with Pulau Redang.

But one of the bad thing is, u can see this in the water.

Can see that? A very CUTE jellyfish. That time we went for snorkelling and one jelly fish was just right beside my friend and I. We really swam very fast that time when we noticed it. Haha! Actually the jellyfish was not really harmful because one of my friend did touched by the jellyfish but she just looked fine. :)

Besides from snorkelling, actually we were brought to a turtle rehabilitation centre. That time I didn't take along my camera so can't show you all the photos. The turtles there were so cute and small size, most of them were just as big as a palm. They were just 1 month old and we were very close with the turtles but we were not allowed to touch them.

Except from snorkelling and visiting the turtles rehabilitation centre, we played volley ball and also 'monkey' at the beach.

Then, we sat at the beach side and enjoyed the sun set. Such a beautiful scenery.

Besides, we also enjoyed watching star at night. The stars at night in Pulau Kapas was extremely beautiful, bright and big. I even saw a metoer that night.

Oh ya, the other bad thing in this island was the food here extremely expensive.
What to do, the restaurant owner monopoly the business in the island. *sigh*

Anyway, I really enjoyed the whole trip.

Places visited during KL

I went to many places during my course in MARDI, Serdang. Sometimes, all of us felt that we were having a trip in KL for 3 weeks. We went out everyday and we just stayed in hostel for 2 days without going out for the entire 3 weeks time. Geng? It was inconvenient to go out because we needed to take a bus whenever we went. The nearest places were South City plaza and also The Mines which we can reached by bus directly. But if we want to go to KL central like Bukit Bintang, we had to take bus from UPM, then changed to KTM to KL Central, and lastly Monorial to Bukit Bintang. Yet, we were so energetic to go out that far during weekend. Haha~ It was enjoyable and memorable.

Ok, let me tell you about some of the places we went.

1) Firstly, none than others, Eye On malaysia

I wished to visit Eye on Malaysia long long time ago, and now finally i can actually stand in front it and took a photo with it. We even took a ride on that giant Ferris Wheel. It was not cheap, RM15 per person, yet, we insisted want to go up. Haha~ It is very beautiful because we can saw the shadow of the Ferris wheel on the lake, and maybe this is why it called Eye on Malaysia.

This is the photo we took in the cabin. Hehe~

2) Famous Satay Kajang Hj Samuri.

Kajang is famous for their satay and we had the chance to come here and tried the satay. Actually this was the idea of our lecturer, Dr Fazilah. Of course, she treated us the satay~ Hehe.

The size of the satay in Kajang was double compared to the satay at the other places. The satay source served was completely different with what we used to have. But, for me, it was not really very nice.

3) Ice Skating, Sunway Pyramid
This was the first time I played ice skating, very excited and worry at the same time. Haha. It was a very very good experience, I fall in love with this activity after whole day skating.

But, the happiness need to be paid... Why I said that?

*Sob*, my legs were full with bruises due to fall down. Too happy to skate and too kan cheong to skate fast and this was the consequences. sob sob...

4) Factory visit, Beryls' Factory

Beryl's factory visit was what we waiting for. All of us love chocolate~ and this factory was located in Serdang too, not far from UPM.

But the factory visit did not reached our expectation. We were given the chance to see the production but the person in charge was too rush and kept on walking very fast throughout the production place. I think the time we spent in the production was not more than 10 minutes. So, what was the main purpose to go there? That was - bought chocolate. Oh, we had dropped to the trap set by the company!!! We went there and bought tons of chocolate and this was actually the tricks ( or should i say strategy) of the company. *sigh* What to do, we love chocolate.

5) Keropok Factory

We were brought to the keropok factory which was located 1 hour travel time away from Beryl's. I don't understand why they choose this factory.

A VERY BIG factory.... -_-''

But, we were allowed to take photo inside. The company quite impressed us by their high hygenic food handling method.

5) The Gardens

Finally i had the chance to shop at this shopping complex. Ern, i should said, window shopping. Haha! All the stuffs and brand were extremely expensive over there and they are not affordable for people like me. But, it was a good expenrice to go there. The Gardens is well designed and it gave us a very comfortable, very classy feeling.

The stairs were similiar with the stairs in Harry Potter. Haha
Of course, except all the places that i posted up, we went to a lot of places too, like Sungai Wang, Times Square, Mid valley, 1-Utama, Sunway Pyramid. Haha~ went a lot of places right? Hehe...
