Bali Trip II

Second day in Bali

We watched a cultural dance & sketch in the morning. If you doesn't like to watch cultural dance you might not like this. But for me, this type of performance always let us know more about their culture.

This is Barong. Something like chinese lion.

Then, we went to an art gallery. In Bali, you can see a lot of nice painting like painting abour padi field, sea side, mountain, birds. I think padi is one of Bali's trade mark therefore this type of paintings sell everywhere and the art work is beautiful. They are cheap as well if you are good in bargain.

After that, it was time for us to see the real padi field located at Ubud village.

The rural area view always looks wonderful.

Next station - Coffee Farm. It was my first time stepped in coffee farm but I was overwhelming welcome by a big bunch of mosquitoes. I was the only one among seven people entered the farm forced to donate blood there.

We were treated with free coffee and chocolate drinks.

For coffee lover, I think here is the right place for you as Coffee Luwak are selling here. Sorry I didn't buy as I don't have the gut to try it as I worry I'll think about it when I am in toilet.

Of course, temple was another place we gone. A famous temple- Holy Water Temple.

I guess most of you saw this type of photos before.

Bali people believe the holy water can help them to fulfill their wish. Never try to jump in the water and bath before you know the actual procedure. Every single water stream had their own meaning. You should bath according to sequence and according to your wish as well. But, how they know the function of each water stream? According to my tour guide, they rememberd it by the sequence of the water stream.

Beside the temple, there was a market selling souvenier, clothes, bags, hand craft. This place selling the goods at cheapest price among all the places we visited. You may get a dinner bag by Rm10++, a dress by RM8 ++, a big travel bag RM12. Once you bought the first item, everyone at every stall will welcome you and some of them even try their best to 'pull' you in their stall and offer you the same stuff with cheaper price. At the end, you found out the price may go much way down to the first price offered to you. So, don't be shy in bargain.

Last but not least, spa time. We went to 'Abian massage and Saloon'. Spa only cost about RM120 for welcome tea + 2 hours massage + scrubing + floral bath + simple dinner. I think it was worth to try.

After relaxed whole bodoy with massage, again, it was time back to hotel and rest. That was the end of second day.

Stay tune for Bali Part III~

Taiwan Trip

I went to Taiwan with my family during the Raya Holiday. For those of you who was not able to contact me during that time, this was the reason. This was the first oversea trip that all my family members went together and this was a trip which was decided suddenly. How sudden was it? My father gave me a call on Wednesday and told me that on the following Monday we will be going to Taiwan. Without any hesitation, I applied leave immediately and my leave was exhausted for this year. (By the way, I had only left 4 1/2 days leave for this year). My manager pulled her long face when she knew about my trip. Well, perhaps the time was a bit improper and it was a bit rush to suddenly leave my job for 1 week. But chance to go to a trip with the whole family didn't come always and a chance to go Taiwan did not happen always too. That's why, I didn't hesistate on this decision.

That was 1 week trip in Taiwan, we went to Tai Zhong and Tai Pei. We were not able to enjoy the first few days due to this was a business trip for my father. One of his friend became our tour guide after the business trip had ended. We visited some places and it was hard to explain everything here so let me just pick up some of the points to elaborate on.
The first thing that we noticed there were a lot of 7-11 available all over Taiwan. How many were there? Every row of shops must at least have one 7-11. Besides, their 7-11 is quite different with ours.

There were different kind of food like sandwich, rice box with different flavours and etc available. You can have a quick grab of food in 7-11. It served faster than fast food. Don't worry, the food in 7-11 was delicious and there were a lot of varieties.

Lok Lok can even be found in 7-11. Never see in Malaysia, right? In addition, Taiwanese can do a lot of stuffs in 7-11, for example, pay for summons, pay for car park fees and etc. Of course, 7-11 opens 24 hours, so it was very convenient for people and there was no excuse for not paying summon/ car park fees due to inconvenience.
We went to the famous ferris wheel in Taipei. 美丽华百货摩天轮. It was similiar with our Eyes on Malaysia but it is higher than ours. Why? Cause the Ferris Wheel is above a shopping mall...

Looks scary, right? We were very scared when we sat in the passengers gondola. We sat still without big movement and worried that our movement might shake the gondola and unexpected incident will happen. Luckily, the Final Destination did not use ferris wheel as a scene in their movie. Or else, more imagination would appeared in our mind. When we took a ride in the ferris wheel, it was during the night. The view outside with lighting was very nice, colour of the wheel kept on changing and the glimmer of the light outside created a romantic atmosphere. However, the person sharing the gondola with me was my brother, so the romantic feel did not extend further.

Besides, we went to the famous 'Sun and Moon lake' (日月潭). A place where almost all the travel agent would bring you there. Do not have high expectation on it. It was just like what it sounded - a lake. Wearing their traditional costume to snap photograph is one of the attraction.
Of cause, 101 mall is a must go place. We have no chance to enter the mall due to insufficient time. So, we just took a photo outside.
Tonight the internet is rather slow. It is a bit difficult and time consuming to post up photos. So, that was the end of the blog. If I have the time, there will be episode 2 for Taiwan Trip.

KL Trip - Bird Park

Last post I mentioned about my trip to KL. So, what actually I had done there? Many people especially girls go to KL for shopping. Although I did shopping too but that was not the main I went there.

Everytime we keep on talking about shopping, shopping and shopping, don't you guys feel boring? Although I'm the type of girl like to shopping and can shop for none stop up to 8 hours, yet if you call me go for shopping everyday, I'll feel bored.

One of the most interesting place that I went in KL was - - Bird Park!~! Some of you might say 'Bird Park? What so interesting? See all the birds in cage' If you react like that, you are totally wrong!!

First, you might not notice we have the biggest enclosed bird park in the world located in our own land - Malaysia (KL). Then, the most interesting part about this bird park is most of the birds are not closed in cage but they are flying freely!! They will just walked beside you!
From the small birdMiddle size bird
Bird bird

You see, I took photo with them together~ Of cause not every type of birds were freed. Those birds who might attack were still face the same fate - kept in cage.Like this.
When I were kept on walking, I saw a hugh bird pose tylish in front of me!! Of course, I grab the chance to take the good pose of the bird.
You see, how 'yeng' was the bird. Since it posed nicely, I want to stand beside it to take photo together!~!~

Obviously, it likes to take photo alone. Ok, fine.. just let me know, don't attack me ok? That was not the proper way to say 'No'.
Later, we saw a group of flamingo. Such a nice view.

Take a close view. After the trip, now only I learnt that their body have two functions, one if normal functions with all the organ inside. Then, what is the next function?
To be pillow of their own head.

Budget Hotel - Tune Hotel

I went to KL last weekend with a friend. Yes, a friend, just 2 of us. A very sporting friend whereby you can tell her (yes, is her not him) you wish to go for a trip and if she have the budget, 99% she'll say 'ok'. Not much consideration needed.

Of course, we planned for a budget trip and all expenses were spent as low as possible. One of the bigest expenses were none other than accomodation. So, to get a budget hotel, Tune hotel appeared in our mind ( For those who don't know, Tune Hotel is the so called Air Asia Hotel ).
A budget hotel, of course we cannot set high expectation. No free breakfast, no free newspaper, no TV in room, no towel & shampoo (of course you can have it by paying RM5.00) and no air conditional (you can pay for the air con if you wish to).
For me, cleanliness will be the most important criteria for accomodation. No matter how budget is the hotel, if it is dirty, I'll definately say 'NO'. Fortunately, Tune Hotel didn't turned me down. Although the room was small, it was clean.

Let me show you the photos.
The corridor of the room. Adequate lighting and pleasant looking :)
Inside of the room with nice drawing on wall.

View from outsideTable (without chair)

Of course we stayed in double bed room.

So, what do you think?
P/S: you might wonder where I had been in KL. Stay tune.

Desire to go for a trip

Inside my heart, there is a very strong desire to go for trip. A small little voice keep on mumbling 'I want to go to a trip, I want to go to a trip..'. My desire is nearly accomplished when I went to Matta Fair.

The Matta fair was held in PISA Penang on 4, 5th July. My friends and I went to the Matta fair to look for a cheap trip. Our destination was Bali, a place where we planned 1 year ago but it had been postponed due to financial problem (we were still student 1 year ago). However, we never gave up, we continue our plan after 1 year.

This year, we were required to buy entrance tickets to enter the Matta fair. In order to make our fees worth, there was a small little bag given.
We did a lot of searching to get our dream trip (Bali) with the cheapest price and this was all the efforts that we put in. (of cause we did search for other trip instead of Bali only).
Finally, we found a trip that suits us. We happily discussed about it and we even planned to pay the fees on the following day.

Unfortunately, a news broke out that night. One of my friends told us that a lot of H1N1 cases had been detected in Bali!! The hottest issue now had stopped us from proceeding with our progress. *sob* Of course, at the end, the trip was once postponed due to the H1N1. Again, my desire to go for a trip had not been fulfilled.

In order to fulfill it in a short term, I planned another trip for myself.

A trip in my own room~ :P (for temporary fulfilling desire purpose )

Cannot see clearly? Zoom in..

Cute right? As if I was really having a trip. Hehe..
